Wisconsin Hunters and Fishermen Take Over Public Lands, Dept of Natural Resources

The Republican-controlled Wisconsin legislature has recently passed a law requiring three of the seven-member public board governing the state's Department of Natural Resources, effectively disenfranchising a large segment of Wisconsin's population from taking part in decision-making about our natural environment.  In addition, the legislature is pushing ahead with a bill to end limits on trapping and bagging of wildlife in state and county parks - so that trappers will be able to kill any number of wild animals.  Trapping is an extremely cruel form of hunting, resulting in the maiming and slow deaths of millions of formerly wild and free animals.
