Mother Jones: Most Chickens Crates Never Sanitized

A study described in Mother Jones tells that 80% of chicken farmers do not ever sanitize the crates used to haul the animals from the farms they were raised on to the slaughterhouse.  With 8 billion chickens a year raised for meat in the U.S. alone, that's a lot of fecal matter that is covering our roadways, the environment, and the chickens themselves.
