Nicholas Hermes will avoid prison, but gets 3 years of probation, $3,000 in fines, and 6 months jail-time for his involvement in the random killing and torturing several deer with his snowmobile in 2009. A co-defendant, Rory Kuenzi, has also been sentenced to 11 years in prison for the killings, while a third, Robbie Kuenzi, awaits a jury trial in April.
